This is from the 2009 Festa on Ice of Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. They were doing this for fun and it’s still more compelling than all the ice dancing I’d grown up seeing. Let’s be honest, no one gave a crap about ice dancing until they appeared on Vera’s livejournal during the 2010 Olympics.

Canada gave a crap about ice dancing! We had Bourne and Kraatz in the 90’s and 00’s and we LOVED THEM even though they ended up shooting themselves in the foot by talking about the judging issues. Canada-loving all the weird sports since 1867.
